The BEUMER Group is an international leader in the manufacture of intralogistics for conveying, loading Palletising, packaging, sortation and distribution technology. The foundation of an intelligent, sustainable platform for end-of-line packaging, 3P™ from BEUMER Group is an outcome-based approach to palletising and pallet packaging processes and technologies. 3P™ focuses on the right inputs that contribute to better end-of-line packaging health – and to better business results – including superior product protection with unmatched precision in repeatability of quality, cost control, and operational predictability. All of which contribute to better performance for you and for your customers.
BEUMER palletising technology is individually tailored to a company’s specific requirements and wishes, and takes into account the product characteristics of the individual packaged goods as well as the desired packing patterns and pallet dimensions. With palletising systems from the BEUMER Group, all packaging units are handled gently and palletised optimally. The perfect appearance of the palletised load units ensures safe transport and a positive response from the recipient. With the BEUMER robotpac® and BEUMER paletpac® product lines, the BEUMER Group offers a versatile, comprehensive product range to meet the wide variety of requirements. Thanks to their modular design, individual machines can be simply and quickly adapt.
The end-of-line packaging processes and technologies – particularly palletising and pallet packaging – play a critical role in safeguarding product in its highest value-added state for delivery to and use by customers, as well as in driving packaging line profitability. Poorly formed pallet loads, for example, can increase transportation costs and time-to-market. Similarly, non-optimized pallet packaging leaves pallet loads unstable, making them especially vulnerable to tipping, spillage, and damage. The financial costs can erode margins, while reputational costs can cut into a company’s market share.
The BEUMER robotpac® product line palletises and depalletises widely differing packaging units with the aid of specially conceived gripper elements. BEUMER’s adaptation control ensures user-friendly operation and flexible adaptation to changing application demands. Even complex processes with varying basic parameters are handled reliably and economically. BEUMER robotpac® systems stand out especially for their energy efficiency and maximum accuracy during palletising, including in small areas. They are also suitable for bagged products and can be reconfigured very easily for frequent product changes. Robotpac highlights:
- High flexibility for a wide variety of requirements
- Compact design with small footprint
- Replaceable grippers for picking up different packaged goods
- Simple changeover of the packing pattern – at the push of a button or fully automatically using bar code recognition
- Up to 1,900 units per hour, depending on the design
- Safe operation, even under extreme conditions
Whether you are transporting fertilizer or cement, high-capacity palletiser from the BEUMER paletpac® series can palletise up to 5,500 bags per hour in certain bag systems, whilst providing high stacking quality and gentle bag handling. Filling plants can thus achieve an impressive daily output and process orders more quickly. A bar turning device is used to turn the bags according to the packing pattern. This has been designed primarily for robust bagged materials. The high-capacity models also stand out for their state-ofthe-art drive technology, variable parameters and a high level of user friendliness. Paletpac highlights:
- Capacity range: From 2,400 to 5,500 bags per hour
- Gentle bag handling
- Precise stack formation
- Programs for all conventional packing patterns
- Intuitive adjustment of parameters for variable bag and pallet dimensions
The BEUMER fillpac® I (in-line packer) and the BEUMER fillpac® R(rotary packer) are a new generation of bagging systems – a first class system with the world’s latest microprocessor for weighing electronics, proven filling systems with horizontal filling impellers, and precise weighing accuracy. The BEUMER fillpac® is designed for capacities ranging from 300 to 6000 bags per hour. In-line as well as rotary packers are available as per customer requirements.
Horizontal filling impellers are used for the BEUMER fillpac® in order to ensure trouble-free filling.
The EFS100TS electronics were designed in Europe, are being continuously developed further and fulfil the sophisticated demands of efficient and modern bagging systems.
The electronics have the following major features in addition to all standard equipment of other packers:
- The electronics of the BEUMER fillpac® are compatible with check weighers.
- The check weighers are specially designed and manufactured in Europe for the BEUMER fillpac®.
- They are equipped with the latest functions, such as autocorrection, recognition of over- and/or underweight bags and communication with the bag trap, in order to discharge bags with incorrect weights.
- The electronics display the individual bag weights, as well as the number of bags.
- Using an interface, the data can be transmitted to management information systems in the desired formats for data generation.
BEUMER STRETCH HOOD
How do you find an even more economical way of hooding palletised goods? By using the highly efficient and compact BEUMER stretch hood® A from the high-capacity BEUMER stretch hood® packaging system model range. It impresses with improved system performance, ergonomic operation and a space-saving format. This is BEUMER’s new response to the increasing demand for machine safety and economic efficiency in the packaging industry.
Packaging for optimum final results
The BEUMER stretch hood® A uses an improved mode of operation to package palletised load units quickly, safely and sustainably in water-proof film hoods. This provides reliable protection for the goods against all environmental stress ensuring excellent load stability. The palletised goods are clearly visible due to the smooth surface of the transparent film. This offers excellent display characteristics for presenting goods.
Improved unwinding behavior
Biaxial film tensioning forces
The BEUMER stretch hood® A uses biaxial stretching to combine horizontal and vertical film tensioning forces. This ensures excellent load stability, even for irregular packages and sensitive unit loads such as beverage pallets, and they keep this stability, even through multiple transshipment. With its innovative film transport system, the BEUMER stretch hood® A removes the need for a platform or a lowerable film feed device. This ensures a low overall height and improves safety in operations and maintenance work: For instance, the blades or the sealing bars are replaced from the floor without the person needing to climb into or onto the system. There is no need to lower subassemblies into maintenance position, thus reducing the risk of accidents and malfunctions. After positioning the film roll with a fork-lift truck or lifting equipment, the film is inserted with a few easy actions and completely without tools. Low-maintenance, excellent packaging capacity and short downtimes mean that the machine pays dividends in the shortest possible time. Film rolls are easily changed using a fork-lift truck and thanks to easy film feeding without time-consuming threading of the film. There is no need for a film sealing seam cooling time. The optimized sequences of movements also contribute to improve the machine’s availability. Powerful suction units combined with mechanical grippers guarantee functionally safe film handling. Energy efficient technology sustainably saves energy costs for the drive system.
