MicroCap Depth Filter Capsules
MicroCap Single-Use Filter Capsules offer the most flexible solution and the most consistent results for all of your batch processing needs. With six different capsule sizes, any process volume requirements can be met without requiring pooling of multiple batches. Lab-scale through clinical scale process volumes can be easily managed within the framework of cost-effective, efficient processing. Scale-up and scale-down studies can be efficiently managed through capsules sized and aligned to standard process volumes.

Plate And Frame Filter Press
AccuScale Bench Scale
AccuScale bench scale plate and frame filters are available in 4 inch (102 mm), and 8 inch (203 mm) square configurations. Filter sheet changeover can be accomplished easily and in a minimum of time. Even more versatility can result from the use of dividing heads to provide double or even triple serial filtration in a single pass.
These 4 and 8 inch square plate and frame filters are sized for bench top mounting. These filters are designed to work in a wide range of high efficiency, ultra-fine filtration applications, and have excellent scale-up capabilities.
Diamond Series Plate and Filter
The Diamond Series plate and frame laboratory filter is designed for use in critical applications where hold-up volumes can be costly. Historically, plate and frame filter technology has required that upon completion of the production cycle, up to 90% of the liquid remaining in the filter needs to be reprocessed or discarded. The Diamond Series eliminates this obstacle entirely. Maximum yield of viable liquid is now possible.
Available in 4 inch, 8 inch, or 12 inch designs, Diamond Series plate and frame laboratory filter is internally ported and eliminate the need for gaskets entirely.
The Diamond Series, in conjunction with ErtelAlsop’s patented BioClean Filter Plate technology, allows for effective cleaning and sterilization of every liquid contact surface. Our standard Validation Package, along with optional 20 Ra surface finish makes this the easiest filter in the world to validate.
EFS Filter Press
The EFS Series plate and frame filter press is internally ported, and is the most economical 12-inch square plate and frame filter press that ErtelAlsop manufactures. The standard model EFS plate and frame filter press hips cart mounted with our BioClean Filter Plates,and a hand wheel closure with 5 ton hand hydraulic assist.
The EFS plate and frame filters are designed to work in a wide range of high efficiency, ultra-fine filtration applications including distilled beverages, small batch cosmetics, cough syrups, small volume parenterals, and flavors & fragrances.
As with all ErtelAlsop plate and frame filter presses, the Model EFS has the same component flexibility as other models and is internally ported eliminating the need for gaskets as well as concerns about compatibility and cross-contamination.
EUS Plate and Filter
The EUS Series is the most versatile of all the models in the ErtelAlsop line of plate and frame filter press systems. With filtration area ranging from 2.8 square feet to 142 square feet, an EUS can be utilized in virtually any application.
Its 16 inch (40 cm) square dimension provides ample filtration area while still maintaining a manageable weight of a plate and frame filter press. The EUS plate and frame filter press is equipped with BioClean Filter Plates as standard. This eliminates all screws and internal threads, which reduces cleaning and sterilization time.
Vapor Master Enclosure
The ErtelAlsop Vapor-Master enclosed plate and frame filter press permits filtration of harmful fluids in a completely sealed, vapor-tight environment for both venting and for the safe disposal or recovery of filtrate and cake residue. This patented design eliminates exposure of workers to toxic vapors from solvents used in cake washing during the extraction process. Filtration units can be custom designed and manufactured to specific requirements such as provision for modified clean-in-place procedures(CIP). Various forms of filter media are acceptable for use in the Vapor-Master, including filter sheets or filter paper.
The self-aligning stainless steel cover has a precision machined sealing rim and tight sealing gasket. The entire perimeter is covered by an ErtelAlsop designed Viton seal. Other gasket material can be supplied. For applications requiring cake recovery from the Vapor-Master, we offer the addition of a Mobile Cake Recovery Module.
This portable cake pan seals in place to the bottom of the Vapor-Master enclosure with a locking cam during the filtration run. At the end of the cycle, when the filter cake is removed, the module can be released from the bottom of the unit and moved away for further processing.
